Mike, Thanks for the quick reply. By your response, it seems as I assumed, that most crew do not sail back. As for my skills, I feel comfortable with sailing, navigating, cooking, fixing things, getting along with others and general safety knowledge. I suppose the one skill I have that stands out is my advanced first aid experience and training. I have 20+ years experience as a paramedic in a busy urban area. I left a posting on the race website and wait anxiously for a bite.

Mike, I was wondering…Are race participants generally expected to be involved with sailing the boats back to Mass. or do owners usually make other arrangements? I ask because I’m trying to get a crew position for this years race but don’t think I can get the time off for a round trip.
